Angel Cats

"Angel cats are just pretend

just sorrows that will never mend"

But if I believe that, I'm untrue

to someone who loved me and you.

For I have felt my cat's sweet weight

As she cuddles into bed so late

And hear her purrs, and felt her sigh

Mend my grief: sweet lullaby.

Faulty vision? I think not!

An Angel cat, off like a shot

For that is how she ran while here:

Now plain sight, now disappear.

Angel cats are surely real

They stay in touch to help us heal

Their fur dries tears that will not dry

And as we mend, our spirits fly.

In her favorite chair

Here she is in her Easter bonnet

She loved it. NOT!

She read the news every morning. I think she

found it somewhat boring. Yawn!

She was with us for 12 years

and travelled like a trooper. We lost her to cancer in her mouth. It was very hard to take her to the vet that day, but we couldn't watch her suffer.

We still think of her but never compare her to Casey. She was a lady and he is a little roughneck boy cat. Both are loved dearly.
